back to the daily grind
well, i’m now well rested after last weekend. i gave myself a rule to not pick up a crochet hook or knitting needle for the entire week, which i quickly broke. well, at least it lasted as long as tuesday.
i didn’t have any special projects in mind. i was trying to finish a hat i started before the con. it’s a pattern i put together myself. i wanted something loose, but ribbed. now that i’m about to decrease i’m thinking that it may be just a tad too loose. i may just go with it and if i don’t like it i’ll rip it back. another thing i was working on were these little charms based off my cell phone charms. they are cute little guys.

the needle i used for them was ridiculously small. i think i’m either going to go blind or at least cross-eyed when i crochet enough of them. i plan on putting these and a few of my cell charms up on my etsy shop until the mister gets the site’s store up and running. i’ll let everyone know when i do. i just have a few more photos to take before i can do so.
this weekend was busy. the mister has a new little nephew, logan, who was born on friday. he is such a cute little thing and i can’t wait to make a few knitted goodies for him. congrats to becky, scott, and sydney to the new little member of your family.
we traveled over to the lotte shopping center today to do a little grocery shopping. i bought some cute and interesting finds. the first one were these cute little notebooks with amigurumi teddies from lil’ thingamajig. they were only a dollar each so i decided to get two of each. i’m not sure what i’m going to do with the extra two. i may have a blog contest or something.
another interesting find was “kasugai peanut and you” treats. (honestly, i really don’t know what it is in japanese). yes, these are squid flavored peanut treats. believe it or not they are quite tasty. before going back to japan, my friend naoto had us try some of these on a late night visit to the asian grocer. they are kind of a salty, nutty, and crunchy type of treat. i saw them today and decided that i wanted to try them again.
i also picked up a cute travel pillow and comfy booties for myself. both of which i plan on needing for san francisco this october.
this looks like to be a normal week for me. i hope to post a few more times before the weekend. i had quite a busy summer and i would love to post about it.
