Re: Hidalgo A Go Go

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

I was thinking of doing a Hidalgo specific story lasting about 3 or 4 updates. This is how I decided to start it. From some feedback I’ve gotten I can say that this alpaca seems to be a favorite, so I’m going to delve into a day in his life for a tiny bit. I want to do this for all of the characters at some point, but we’ll see how this one goes over.

If you have a favorite character you want to see explored a bit more, please let me know. I kind of do this at the seat of my pants so I don’t often think about this sort of thing. I’m all for exploring who my characters are though, so if there’s someone you want to see get more depth to their character I’ll get to them sooner than later.

Also, just as a reminder:

If you’re in Baltimore this Sunday, or cose enough to justify the trip, head out to the Creative Alliance‘s Merry Mart. Amu and I will be lugging along some of her knit and crocheted gifts to sell, and Amu’s World will be represented as well. So if you are in the area please stop by and say Howdy. We’d love to hear from you.

In the story, we haven’t seen anything from Kaizoku and the Bunny Peeps in a bit. There are a couple reasons for this. Kaizoku’s busy planning, and the Bunny Peeps have gone back to fetch their stronger siblings to help in the fight with the ninja team. Before they split, the did have time to pose for a group photo.

They like to fashion themselves a rock band posing for a CD booklet. The music world is just another place to conquer. Can they do it? They think so.

In Part II of our adventure with a certain lonely combat alpaca we see that old habits die hard. Nobody’s sure why Hidalgo has it out for the bunnies so bad, but the attack instinct apparently extends to photos of them. Poor Hidalgo.

If you’re stopping by for this week’s update from the Baltimore Creative Alliance’s Merry Mart show this past weekend, HOWDY! Thanks for stopping by. It was a great day for us and we spoke to a good few people who were really awesome. We hope to do more local holiday shows next year, so you’ll be seeing a lot more of us!

As a note, I’ve discovered I’m a very bad blogger. I don’t update nearly as often as I should, nor as I would like to. Would you believe I used to write a semi-regularly updated rant blog that had a bunch of readers? I continue to harbor this idea that I need to run a different blog for each ‘THING’ I’m into. This becomes problematic because I’m into A LOT of THINGS. Currently I’m working out the kinks in this system. I’m looking into personal branding and hopefully within the year will have ONE PLACE on the internet for people to find ALL OF THE THINGS I’m doing and to read everything I have to say on all of the THINGS I’m into. So if you’re still around by next year you’ll find out very quickly that I’m a REALLY WEIRD DUDE! 🙂

Thanks for reading.

It’s been Hidalgo month here at Amu’s World, so we’re keeping with that theme and showing you what it might look like if you crossed an alpaca with a certain popular vampire series of late.

SPARKLY! OK, so he isn’t going to be featured in his own series of novels targeted towards 13 and 40+ year old girls anytime soon. But still.

Photo Phriday 57 – Puppet Master

Saturday, December 19th, 2009

Alright, so I admit it’s technically not Friday anymore. At least not on the East Coast it isn’t. I managed to get my camera out of commission and forgot to take a photo for today before getting it back up and running and onto time lapse project. So here’s an old one that’s slightly different than the rest.

Back when I did Balticon I was asked to provide a photo to put in their program. I’d decided on a “Puppet Master” theme, and while these guys aren’t puppets, I thought it was fun. So here’s one of me with Ninja and the Katamari Prince, looking far too unshaven for my own good. Hehe. As a side note, I hate shaving. HATE IT!
